# Resend optin

`POST https://app.stoqapp.com/api/v2/external/back_in_stock/signups/resend_optin`

Re-send the double opt-in (GDPR consent) confirmation email to every unconfirmed signup waiting on a variant or product, as the dashboard's Re-send confirmation does. It cannot target one customer or signup: never offer a resend to a single contact.

**Note:** Give shopify_variant_id or shopify_product_id. 202 with signups_count, how many unconfirmed pending signups were queued; each email goes to the signup's customer email address. 422 when double opt-in is turned off.

## Headers

- `Idempotency-Key` (string): A fresh unique key for every write (a new UUID, say); reuse it only to retry that write. Keys are remembered for 1 hour: the same key and the same request within that hour returns the first result, with `Idempotent-Replayed: true`, without running again; the same key with a different method, path or body is refused (422 `idempotency_key_reused`); a retry while the first is still running gets 409 `idempotency_key_in_progress`. Keys are per store. Server errors and rate limits are not kept, so their retry runs.

## Request body

- `shopify_variant_id` (string): e.g. `45000000001`
- `shopify_product_id` (string): e.g. `78000000001`

## 200

Success: the updated resource.

## 202

Accepted: async/bulk work was queued. Poll the returned job.

## 409

An earlier request with the same Idempotency-Key is still running. Wait, then resend the same request with the same key.
